What are Veneers?
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of the teeth to improve their appearance.
These restorations are custom-made to fit every individual’s need.
Veneers can be used to address aesthetic concerns such as:
- Smile appearance enhancement.
- Chipped, broken and discolored teeth.
- Diastema, gaps or spaces between teeth.
- Small and misshapen teeth.
How do veneers work?
During your initial appointment, your dentist will examine your teeth and gums to determine if you are a candidate for veneers.
The dentist will prepare your teeth by removing small amounts of enamel. Next, they will take impressions of your teeth and send them to Dental Laboratory.
A dental lab technician will use these impressions to make your custom veneers. During a second visit, your dentist will check the shape, color and fit of your veneers, and permanently bond them to your teeth.
