Purpose
Dental crowns are custom-made caps that cover a damaged, weakened, or aesthetically imperfect tooth to restore its shape, strength, and function.
They are commonly used to protect teeth after root canal treatment, repair large cavities, or restore broken teeth.
Procedure
Your dentist will firstly prepare the tooth and take an impression or a scan for the Dental Laboratory to construct your crown.
Using our Intra-Oral scanner, the image of your teeth is digitally transferred to our specialised laboratory where they create a 3D printed image of the prepared teeth.
At a later appointment, the crown will be fitted. You will be given a temporary crown so your smile remains unaffected.
The aim is to cover a damaged, weakened, or aesthetically imperfect tooth to restore its shape, strength, and function.
