Dental Fluoride Application

Protect your smile

Strengthen and protect your smile with a simple, painless treatment.

is this treatment right for you?

Fluoride is a natural mineral that plays a key role in keeping your teeth strong and healthy.

Purpose

Every day, your tooth enamel faces attacks from acids caused by plaque bacteria and sugars in the foods you eat. Over time, this can lead to weakened enamel, tooth decay, and cavities.

Fluoride application helps:

  • Rebuild and strengthen tooth enamel
  • Reverse early signs of tooth decay (demineralisation)
  • Prevent cavities from forming
  • Protect teeth, especially for those at higher risk of decay

Fluoride treatments are a quick and highly effective way to give your teeth an added layer of defence—ideal for both children and adults.

Procedure

Fluoride application is quick, non-invasive, and completely painless. It typically takes only a few minutes and can be done at the end of your routine dental cleaning.

Here’s how it works:

Your dentist or hygienist will assess your oral health to determine whether a fluoride treatment is recommended.

A high-concentration fluoride solution—either as a gel, foam, or varnish—is applied directly to the surfaces of your teeth using a brush, swab, tray, or rinse.

The fluoride is left on your teeth for a few minutes to allow the enamel to absorb the minerals. If varnish is applied, it hardens quickly.

You may be advised to avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing for 30 minutes afterward to ensure the fluoride has time to work its magic.

It’s that simple—no discomfort, no downtime!
